This guide takes you from creating your account to your first published study.
Go to app.tellet.ai and choose Create account.
You can sign up with Google or Microsoft, or with your email address. To sign up with email, enter:
your first and last name
your email address
a password (entered twice)
your Organisation name, usually your company or team name. You can change it later.
Accept the Terms & Conditions and click Sign up. You can also choose to get our product update and newsletter emails.
We'll send you a verification email. Click the link in it to activate your account. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder or click Resend email verification.
If a colleague already uses Tellet, ask them to invite you rather than signing up yourself. You'll get an email invitation that adds you to their organisation. Invitations expire after 7 days, so ask for a new one if yours has run out. See Member management.
Every Tellet account belongs to an organisation. It's where your studies, members and settings live.
If you signed up with email, your organisation was created with the name you entered. If you signed up with Google or Microsoft, you'll be asked to name your organisation after you log in.
As the person who created it, you're the organisation's Owner. You can rename it, add a logo and set privacy policy links in Organisational settings.
After you log in, you land on your organisation's home page. The Quick start card has shortcuts to:
Create a new study
Create a new workspace
Search for any study or workspace
Documentation: this help centre
The sidebar on the left lists your workspaces. Use it to move between them and to open Settings.
Workspaces group related studies, for example by client, project or team. Click Create a new workspace and enter:
Workspace name
Visibility:
Private: only you can see the workspace.
Shared: everyone in your organisation can see it.
You can change both later. See Workspaces.
You can skip this step. When you create your first study, you can create a workspace for it at the same time.
Click Create a new study, then:
Enter a Study title (up to 100 characters). Only your team sees it.
Under Workspace, choose Select existing to pick a workspace, or Create new to make one.
Click Create.
A study has four main tabs: Design, Recruit, Results and Analysis. Before you publish, you'll work in the first two.
General: your research objective, interview languages, AI interviewer persona and other settings. A clear research objective matters most: the AI interviewer and the analysis both use it. See Study settings.
Discussion guide: the questions the AI interviewer asks, what to probe for, and any images, videos or documents to show. See Discussion guide.
Screening: optional questions that decide who can take part. See Screening questions.
Recruitment: how participants reach your study, either through your own link or a panel provider, and where they're sent when they finish.
Quotas: the maximum number of participants, and optional targets per screening answer.
Click Save as you go. If something needs fixing, the tab shows how many problems it has.
Click Test to take the interview yourself, exactly as a participant would see it. Test interviews don't count towards your results or analysis, so you can run as many as you like.
Testing is the quickest way to check that your questions read well and the AI interviewer follows up the way you want. See Participant journey for what participants see.
When you're happy with your study, click Publish. Tellet checks your setup first and tells you if anything needs fixing.
If you're an Editor, you'll see Request to publish instead. This sends a request to your organisation's Owners and Admins to publish the study for you.
Once the study is published, go to Recruit > Recruitment and copy the Interview link. Share it with your participants, or paste it into your panel provider.
You can still change a published study. Your changes go live when you click Update or Republish.
As interviews come in:
Results shows how many interviews are complete, how many participants were screened out, and every transcript. See Transcripts.
Analysis summarises what participants said, question by question and across the whole study. It starts once you have around 10 completed interviews.
When you've collected enough responses, click Complete study to close it to new participants.
Invite your team: see Member management.
Add your brand to the interview: see Study branding.
Ask an AI assistant about your studies: see Connect an AI assistant (MCP).
