The Overview page on a study's Results tab shows how your fieldwork is going: how many interviews are done, how long they take, how many people drop out, and who's taking part.
Open it from Study > Results > Overview. To read individual interviews, use the Transcripts tab next to it. See Transcripts.
The overview covers every interview since the study was first published, across all published versions. It leaves out:
test interviews
archived transcripts
Until the first participant starts an interview, the page shows No overview data yet.
The cards at the top of the page give you a quick read on progress.
The number of completed interviews out of your Max participants, with a progress bar. Set max participants in Recruit > Quotas.
Participants who have started the interview and haven't finished yet.
How long a completed interview takes on average, from the first message to the last. Interviews that weren't finished, or where the participant was screened out, aren't included.
How many participants were screened out, and what percentage of all participants that is. This card only appears if your study has screening questions.
A high screen out rate can mean your screening criteria are too strict.
The share of participants who passed screening and went on to finish the interview. People who were screened out aren't included.
A low completion rate can mean the interview is too long or too difficult. Try a test interview yourself to see where it drags.
Hover over the info icon on the Screened out and Completion rate cards to see how each is worked out.
The Interview activity chart shows how many interviews were Started and Completed over time, from the first interview to today.
It shows one point per day. Once a study has been running for more than 8 weeks, it switches to one point per week to keep the chart readable.
Use it to spot when recruitment slows down, or to check that a panel launch or reminder email brought people in.
If your study has screening questions, two more sections appear below the activity chart:
Screening results: a chart per screening question showing how participants answered, with a toggle between percentages and counts. If you've set screening quotas, each bar shows how full that answer's quota is.
Screened out funnel: where in your screening flow participants are screened out, with the question that disqualifies the most people highlighted.
See Screening questions for how to read both.
The transcripts table also lists interviews that are in progress, abandoned or screened out. Interviews completed only counts finished interviews.
No, the overview always covers the whole study. To look at one version, use the version selector on the Transcripts tab.
When you've reached your target, or have enough interviews for your research. Click Complete study at the top of the study to close it to new participants. Once you reach Max participants, new participants see a message that the study is full.
